Pioneer of Cash Rewards Scored in Top Two of All Factors; Scored

Financial Services (NYSE: DFS) announced today that Discover(R) Card
scored highest in both the Rewards and the Billing and Paying Process
factors in the J.D. Power and Associates 2007 Credit Card Satisfaction
Study(SM). The inaugural study analyzes the five factors critical to
the level of satisfaction consumers have with their primary credit
card companies. Discover Card ranked second among the top ten credit
card issuers studied, performing well above the industry average.
In addition to scoring the highest in the Rewards and the Billing
and Payment Process factors, Discover Card scored within the top two
of all other factors, including Benefits and Features, Fees and Rates,
and Problem Resolution. Overall, Discover Card scored within the top
two for customer satisfaction, commitment and loyalty.
