Card Offers U.S. Ducks Unlimited Members Access to Discover Card’s
Generous Cashback Bonus® Program for Greater Savings
RIVERWOODS, Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May. 30, 2012--
Discover and Ducks Unlimited today announced during the 75th
Annual Ducks Unlimited convention the launch of an affinity credit card
designed to offer U.S. members of Ducks Unlimited rewarding Discover
card benefits. With this announcement, Discover is now the official
credit card of Ducks Unlimited.
The new, custom-designed Ducks Unlimited Discover card features
Discover’s generous flagship cash rewards program, which also gives
access to ShopDiscover,
a popular online shopping portal offering 5%-20% Cashback Bonus on
purchases at more than 200 online retailers. Discover also has added
Ducks Unlimited to its list of charitable partners, which allows for
Discover cardmembers to donate their Cashback Bonus to the organization
in support of wetland conservation.
“An affinity credit card is a powerful way to help organizations connect
with their members and offer additional benefits outside their standard
membership package,” said Julie Loeger, senior vice president of brand
and acquisition at Discover. “Both Discover and Ducks Unlimited have
strong, established brands with loyal followings, making this
relationship a natural fit.”
Ducks Unlimited is the largest conservation group in the world committed
to wetlands and waterfowl conservation. Since its founding in 1937, the
organization has conserved more than 12 million acres worldwide,
including 4.6 million acres in the United States.
“Corporate involvement and support has played a vital role in
strengthening the Ducks Unlimited brand among outdoor enthusiasts across
the country,” said Ducks Unlimited chief executive officer Dale Hall.
“In addition, and most importantly, these important relationships have
been a big part of Ducks Unlimited’s 75 years of conservation success.
We are excited to join with Discover in accomplishing our goal to
conserve, restore and manage wetlands and associated habitats for North
America’s waterfowl.”
