Discover Cardmembers Earn an Extra 5% on Restaurants, Movies and
Groceries
RIVERWOODS, Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Apr. 9, 2012--
Discover today announced it has introduced several new rewarding ways
for cardmembers to earn Cashback Bonus® this
spring that will help to cut costs on restaurant and movies purchases.
Starting April 1 through June 30, Discover Cardmembers visiting the
online Account Center or calling 1-800-DISCOVER (347-2683), can sign up
to earn 5% Cashback Bonus on up to $1500 in restaurant and movie
purchases. As an added bonus, Discover Cardmembers also can sign up to
earn 5% Cashback Bonus on up to $300 in grocery store purchases
from May 1 through May 31. After reaching these spending limits,
cardmembers will still automatically earn up to 1% Cashback Bonus on
all purchases every time they use their cards.
On top of giving cardmembers the potential to earn up to $90 in
additional Cashback Bonus during its second quarter of rotating
categories, Discover is also leveraging its retail partnerships to
increase the cardmember rewards experience, including:

Redeem for Hot Deals & Exclusives: As travel season
starts to heat up, Discover is offering access to vacation getaway
packages. From a two-night stay at Las Vegas’ Bellagio hotel, to an
all-inclusive four-night stay in Cancun, the options for cardmembers
to redeem their Cashback Bonus are hard to resist. Those wanting to
plan a fun, family-friendly adventure can book travel for a four-night
stay in Orlando that will give them access to theme park passes for
area attractions such as Universal Studios, Disney Park Hopper or Sea
World.

New Redemption Partners: Discover already boasts more
than 150 brand name partner gift cards for which cardmembers can
redeem their Cashback Bonus for increased value. This quarter,
Discover plans to add Domino’s Pizza, QVC, Under Amour, Aerie and 77
Kids to the plethora of redemption partners for even greater savings.
