Discover Remains Official Credit Card of the NHL and Adds Official Bank Designation; Becomes Title Partner of NBC Sports’ Hockey Day in America

NEW YORK & RIVERWOODS, Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Discover Financial Services (NYSE: DFS) and the National Hockey League (NHL) today announced a multiyear extension of their U.S. partnership that includes Discover maintaining its status as the Official Credit Card of the NHL® in the U.S. In addition, the new agreement - which extends beyond credit cards - names Discover the Official Bank of the NHL® in the U.S.

The expanded partnership also designates Discover as title partner of NBC Sports’ Hockey Day in America, a celebration of the impact hockey has had in the United States. Hockey Day in America is set to take place on Sunday, February 16, 2020 with a tripleheader of NHL games on NBC and NBCSN featuring the Pittsburgh Penguins vs. Detroit Red Wings, New York Rangers vs. Boston Bruins and Nashville Predators vs. St. Louis Blues.
